Soon to be a problem.
They have a herpes virus that can be fatal to humans. They are randy. And their population could double by 2022.
“They” are a group of about 200 feral monkeys — rhesus macaques, to be exact — in Silver Springs State Park in central Florida’s Marion County. There is also a colony of these monkeys in Puerto Rico.
According to a 2018 report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, researchers found that these rhesus macaques can shed the herpes B virus, known as macacine herpes virus 1 or McHV-1, and this puts “humans at risk for exposure to this potentially fatal pathogen.”
Nothing there that a dozen boys with 22s and a few weeks of fun could not cure.

Oh my god I can hear PETA screaming their heads off. May be we should build a wall around them.

Easy fixed. Bait and bullet that way they get their last meal. Should keep PETA happy

Just for clarification, is the 'bait and bullet' for the diseased feral primates or for the macaques?

OOps I mean very good question. I like things to be uncomplicated and easy so lets make it for both.

I checked with a Florida wildlife biologist friend; apparently those Rhesus Macaques were NOT infected in Puerto Rico. Turns out the male members of the troop had a “guys weekend” in Coconut Grove, FL....... Not only Herpes.....but now each male has to have an HIV test every 6 months

thats on the other side of the county from me. they were brought in to silver springs park when they filmed the tarzan movies and creature from the black lagoon.old guy i work with shoots them out of the trees in the backyard.a few months ago they had a film on tv where a guy put a deer feeder out and could not figure out where his feed went so put out a trail cam. turns out one figured out how to turn the wheelie gig around and the other 20 ate like pigs . i'm sure he fixed the problem after channel 9 news left lol.
