I know that the under rib for mounting scopes were attached by soldering on steel tube scopes but, how in blazes were they attached on aluminum tubes? Thanks

They are integral, that is machined with the tube as one piece.

And believe it or not I have hack-sawed and filed away sections of the integral rail (under rib) on one of these scopes so my German friend could use low Weaver rings with a particular scope he liked and wanted on his Steyr Mannlicher Professional rifle. Was in Germany where I had no access to other than rudimentary tools. Carefully done and black painted on the exposed alloy it looked and shot fine. He was most pleased with my handiwork, guuulp.

One day in the future some forum will have a thread where a scope is shown which some new person has purchased saying "Look at what some butcher did to this scope!" Ha ha ha.

But sometimes the facts and circumstances are also important.
