H. Mahillon 9.3X62

I just picked this rifle up off Gunbroker.
H. Mahillon Mauser in 9.3X62
Finish wise, its a little rough - some pitting and flecks of surface rust over much of the action and some of the barrel. Most of the barrel is in pretty good shape though.
Speaking of the barrel, it is very nice with an integral quarter rib and sling eye on the barrel step. Nice two leaf express sight in the rib and the bore is very strong.
It has a threaded trap grip cap which has an extra front sight blade in it - nice touch.

I'm thinking this is an FN action, right?

The wood is absolutely fantastic for a classic safari rifle!

I think I'm really going to like this rifle.

I really like the barrel profile! A bit like a mini 416! 😂

Congratulations on your find

Not wrong about the stock Huvius - very nice timber to say the least!
May be a little rough on the edges, but if she's got a good barrel then she'll be a good hunter & you've got power to burn with the 9.3x62.
I reckon it would do up very nicely if you so chose to do so

Huvis that rifle begs to be used. The wood in the stock is great. It should make a great stalking rifle.

Classic rifle, excellent ammunition and great pedigree; congratulations on your acquisition and good hunting with it. Your next dilemma will be how to scope it - should you intend to scope it, in order not to commit sacrilege on this respectable lady!

Very nice rifle, very classic and something a little different. I have always liked the high end Belgian rifles. Well done.
