.375 Flanged Nitro Express 2 1/2" Steyr 1892

1892 Model Steyr in .375 Flanged Nitro Express. Retailed by Holland & Holland. has a bolt peep. A previous owner has had it polished and blued over pitting. The rifling is also worn. I've tried two types of bullets to get it to shoot but just don't have time to mess with it. Have 60 or so cases, dies and some cast bullets. $1000

I wonder if trying .378" bullets in a .375 with a worn bore would work out?
Is the bore generally worn or does it have pitting?

There's some frosting in the grooves but it's mostly just worn.
