Well said Nitro...... Enough already with the recoil..... scientific amd subjective all at the same time!!! Make noise, create some holes in targets, and SMILE!!!!!

I don't feel my .404 much but I shot a buddies 30-06 03a that kicked the snot out of me. I do feel the .500 and I have a 5.5lb 12 bore rifle that I can only shoot 10 or 12 times before it's time to change over. Like John says it's all subjective and stock design.
