Here is a link to the William & Son website which shows their bolt action rifle based on a M98 action. Beautiful gun with a rounded pistol grip and double square bridge starting at 23,500 pounds, but like the new Purdey bolt action, no open sights. The description says sights are fitted as but the picture
shows a rifle without.

What is it with these high end English gunmakers and no sights, hopefully this is not going to be some new trend.

Bolt is on the wrong side and $45,000.00 is absolutely ridiculous.

Ridiculous is a decent compliment.

A bit more classically shaped than the Purdey. Wish them all the best.

Well, similar stock shape (forend a bit shorter) to my 1936 September Model 70 S#1830, which I love. But THAT price - LOL.
I would, however, not sell that 06 for $2,000 bucks. I would, though, for $10,000.00 & I would then buy a couple Verey-Carran over-unders & still have $1,500.00 left over.

Seriously, you could buy 3 of these, for the price of one of those William & Son Mauser's.

Sorry John, if I am being too negative.

These posts, are all my personal and honest but not often humble opinion.
