Miss Hunter Germany
      #312580 - 18/02/18 03:49 PM

A Realtree hunting video featuring "Miss Hunter Germany" and a Czech wild boar and driven game hunt. Helga Wimmer from Austria.

Said she has been hunting for four or five years, so probably late teens or twenties. The use of models or model like girls is quite a common feature now in promotion of hunting and hunting and shooting products. Why? Because of the expanding market of female hunters and shooters AND because us guys prefer usually to watch a pretty girl than some crusty fat male!

Online acquaintance Rachel Carrie from the UK is another realtree "ambassador" now I believe.

I wonder at the "red" clothing in the video. For spotting purposes when in the forest. I think it is the video colour spectrum and must actually be orange. I do like the use of blaze orange woollen scarfs, for cold climates of course. Must look for one online and purchase one. Maybe.

I think that second shot, was pretty way off and wild. I would want that edited out of my video.

Good little video. I want to participate in a boar driven hunt one day. When I lived in the UK, to participate one had to be a group of eight to twelve hunters, one could not join a group by booking individually. Might be different today.

Thought I posted this, where? Might have got lost when posting?

What is "Miss Hunter Germany"? Is it a beauty contest, for a Calendar perhaps? Or some other hunting criteria for a female to be awarded "Miss Hunter Germany"?

Thanks to anyone who can answer.

I'm sorry if you disagree, but....sitting up in a tree waiting for something to walk past, is not hunting.....I like the saying " I don't shoot at 400 yards, I hunt under 100 ".....just my opinion!!

Nor is putting feed on the trail everyday to attract the deer.

The fallow were also being pushed by a dog.

A lot happening off scene to make the "successful two day "hunt"" for the film.

Nothing wrong per se with stand hunting. The way it is done in a lot of different places in the world. And often one of the few ways.

BTW a "whitetail" deer in the Czech Republic???

After spending two days carrying your wood and tools to build your own hochsitz or carrying your own tree stand 3km into where to hunt sambar ticks more boxes for me than waiting until opening season to shoot a croaking buck that gives away his location. Each to their own.

I agree with John - different types of hunting, for different areas and people. I can still 'hunt' from a stand, but I can no longer traipse through the bush as I have always preferred.

Agree ..try bow hunting from a tree stand sometime for whitetail deer..see how easy it is..or isn't..totally disregard the comment "it is not hunting"... don't knock it if you don't know it.. IMHO..

Furthermore, as Daryl suggests, others because of physical ailments of one sort or another, this is the only hunting they can do.. much better than sitting in a home looks at the idiot box.. again, IMHO..
