Rather enhanced artificial environment on private land. He said he knew the buck so well that he figured the odds of killing him at 90 percent. That is not remotely close to the kind of hunting many of us do.

My brother has a neighbor with several huge bucks mounted on his wall. One night after indulging in some good whiskey, he admitted that they all came from fenced enclosures.

Guess I'm old fashioned in believing that uncertainty and effort make hunting worthwhile.

I suppose all of us dream of having a private hunting preserve where we can pick and choose our animals and not have to kill ourselves hiking 10 plus miles a day. Kind of like having that harem...

Agree..felt the same way when I was reading it..each to their own..but fenced is NOT hunting in my mind..shooting, yes...but not hunting as I know or define it..
