Double gun barrels

If anyone is interested, Numrich has a bunch of Heym rifle barrels for sale. Many are contoure for double rifles and also some blanks for bolt guns. There are some contoured 375 H&H barrels and 500 Nitro. I bought a few smaller caliber that I can use for other rifles and the bores on these barrels look pretty impressive through the borescoped. Oh, and there are some new drilling barrels and a complete 30-06 SxS barrel set in the white. Interesting stuff.

I also picked up a few ni 6.5 and .22. Super light contours and now just have to find a .410 to rebarrel.

If you buy any of the large bore barrels they all have a pretty good size flat machined in them at the breach end. The 375 barrel I bought isn't usable for what I bought it for.

Hey Wayne. What was the plan?
Sounds like they were arranged for a shoe lump.
How finished are the chambers? I was considering a 9.5x57r if I cut them back a bit.
The chambers on the 6.5x57 actually seem to clean up with 6.5x53r reamer. Rough chambered but far undersized.

The plan for the 375 was a bolt gun on a Mauser 98 action in .375 Dakota. Might still be do able with a bushing but I am not sure I like the Idea.

I bought a variety of the bolt action barrels. I'll be able to use them in specific uses on smaller tenon actions such as the Howa mini it cz 527's. possibly 1" tenon Winchesters too. Unfortunately they're a 1/4 pitch off (metric) from screwing right onto Tikkas. I picked up two sets of double tubes also in 6.5x55 and 222 which has me thinking or an interesting double with interchanging barrel setup. Very light profile on them and it seems they'd make a real nice handling rifle.
