Thanks for the heads up and sorry about your loss. On your recomendation, and some others, I was getting ready to take three rifles down to him for some work and tune-ups. I guess we sometimes think that because someone works on classy rifles they have some too.

I guess there is no need to make the drive now as I don't think I want to leave them with somebody I wouldn't feel comfortable with.

Mick,

I can't fault Lee's work, regardless of what he just pulled on me. If you are not in a great hurry, he will send them back just right. I know I won't be doing business as usual with Lee, however. I let him make good profits off the guns and scopes I sell him; it would be nice to BUY ONE RIGHT from him for a change.

I think what sent me into orbit is the fact that I sold a gun to buy this one...on his word that he was selling me the recently acquired drilling at a given price...then yanked it out without a kiss goodbye...

His work is excellent.

The only thing anyone has to sell is integrity. If he would do what he did to an old and valued customer, what would he do to someone he doesn't know? Maybe nothing, but I would rather error on the side of caution.

I guess things happen for the best. My tractor puked its engine yesterday, and I need to buy a replacement tractor. It is good that I didn't sink the money into another drilling...need it for the new tractor...
