I originally bought this project gun with the intention of making it mine. I've got some other business investments I'd like to make soon and the money from this project would help. I'm selling this as a project to be completed in my shop or I might consider selling as-is.

The gun is a 12bore C. Hellis back-action SLNE, London addressed but Birmingham proofed. Double Purdey underlugs with third fastener. Forend is an anson pushrod release. This gun is no lightweight but would make a great fowler or clays gun imo. I would have no qualms using this action as a donor for a double rifle build.

Barrels are measured as follows;
30" overall length.
Proofed for 3" Chambers and 1 1/2oz of shot. 12bore
R barrel.
.729" bore
.014" choke
.040" min wall thickness

L barrel
.731" bore
.040" choke
.040" wall thickness

The project will entail a complete restoration. The engraving will be recut, action recolor case hardened, all metal refinished. New pins all around. This gun has no stock, it will be stocked to your specified dimensions with a stunning piece of Turkish I have set aside unless you supply your own. One could have the original engraving removed and redone as requested.
