A 9,3x62 Mauser by DORLEAC & DORLEAC
      #303541 - 03/08/17 05:11 AM

Rifle built on a 1912 Original Mauser Oberndorf fully reconditioned and rectified action, with six cartridges magazine box and H&H type mount holding a Zeiss "Victory" HT 1.1-4X24 T* with illuminated reticle.
The Lothar-Walther 25" barrel bears express sights perfectly regulated on a foldable Lyman n°1 bolt peep sight.
As usually, the walnut is French and the modest ornamentation from the talented hands of Florent Viale.
Presented in its full leather case with accessories.

Regards to all.

D&D - Where old world craftsmanship & charm blends with new age technology!
Lovely piece of kit Mr D.
Especially loved the simple engraving - very nice touch.
Now if it was in 9.3x64.....

Another exquisite example by Dorleac. Beautiful. What I wouldn't give for a gun rack full of such rifles.

Also saved to the NE server, just in case!

Absolutely sensational, beautiful and elegant and yet still looks like a working rifle. Super well done.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the small lever on the side of the Lyman sight for.

It's the bolting lever that lock the sight standing or folded.

I will send you my address, please wrap it nicely with a big ribbon and for it to arrive before I go wild boar shooting in December - I am sure your client will happy that I am looking after it for him. Very very nice rifle.

Lovely wood, wish true French was more readily available. Two questions. Does the hand position have to change with the Lyman sight in the down position and scope mounted. Love the sling, is there a source for them. Thanks for posting, you build lovely rifles.

I would be VERY much interested to know what PRICE a rifle of

this quality would demand. Joel?

As far as possible we prefer to use French walnut.
We know where it comes from and especially when it was cut, how long and how it was dried, which is not always the case with import walnuts that are often more flattering to the eye but mechanically less stable.
With the type of elongated grip that characterizes many of our stocks the hand is not bothered by the bolt peep sight.
Such a rifle costs about 20.K euros, excluding scope and leather case.
The D&D sling is a special hand made fabrication designed by us; it is made of braided leather and linen hand-stitched on saddler leather.
Thank you all for your praises ... even if they are exaggerated!

Is it possible to obtain a sling that doesn't come with an accessory rifle attachéd to it.
