I'd say the Lee Speed Sporter was OK at just under $700.00, as long as the bore was not rotted out by corrosive primers.

Thanks for the reply. I've drooled over some of the Lee Speeds posted here but don't own one. When they do surface, they always seem to be priced well into the 4-digit neighborhood. That got me to wondering about the subject rifle and what I might be missing.

It looked like a reasonably good rifle.

A great pity the magazine was a later military replacement and not correct.

What makes you say that on the mag Roy ?

I wrote and asked him to check and he confirmed it was a military replacement military magazine.
