5 shot Sporter mags

Is anyone manufacturing these to fit a # 1 MKIII in the curved belly style like the old sporters? or am I left to modifications of the ten shot ?

Hi Cjdawe,

I'm happy to be corrected but to my knowledge no one is currently manufacturing a Lee-Speed pattern of magazine.

I'm still looking for an 8x50r example for my Lee-Speed of the same calibre - just mentioning this in passing should someone hear or one.

I found some being newly made, not quite like a Speeder but fantastically well made & slightly rounded bottom, cost a fair bit how ever !

I have a 8X50R Lee Speed Roy but its over seas right now & I need that mag, I did find a very rough one which I have panel beated & made a side clip for but again it has a job in a 375EX which I think has the same mag as the 8X50R ?

I will try to take some pic's but they look better in the hand .

Only trouble with mine was I bought a mag for a No4 not the No3 or SMLE MLM MLE, bugger !

Thanks for that Sarg,

It does look like a lovely quality product. Just a pity it is flat bottomed and not of the same profile as the originals. But I guess we can't have everything.

I dont know where they are made, I bought it in a small shop in the Limpopo, Im hoping to find out on my return trip !

I think made in SA but as I said dont know yet, cost me about NZ $110-$120
