Ahmed577 mentioned it elsewhere on a thread and someone asked to see it. Went through some emailed photos I had neglected to post yet and here it is in the white.

Boss Round action double rifle in .375 Holland & Holland Flanged with an additional barrel set in .303 British.

First round body action in a side by side rifle for Boss.

What a useful set of chamberings for medium and big game hunting, and in such a classy rifle.

Will be great to see it in finished form soon.

Not really a great deal to be said about this. Just magnificent. And going to belong to a gentleman.

I would be almost tempted not to checker that gun. The grain is to nice to cover up with checkering.

Same thought entered my mind as well - in the .303 anyway!
This stock will be really something when completely finished, would love to see what 'oil' recipe Boss use on the stocks!
Even the lots that Gabe's using certainly highlights the timber beautifully!
He really has some beautiful examples done so far, I really love to trail his 'mix' one day on a stock I've got planned to do up!

Will ring boss tonight to check if checkering is complete. If not will discuss no checkering option. 303 barrels use stock and forend of 375 h&h fl s-n 10375. One forend to suit 375 and 303 barrels was difficult to achieve. Would have been cheaper to produce 2x forends. I wanted one forend only.

I hope you have it checkered. No matter how good the wood, a best grade stock always seems unfinished if it isn't checkered.

Hell would freeze over before I would let that rifle go without checkering. Agree with Gabe %110.

I agree with Claydog and Ripp, there must be checkering. In my opinion checkering adds greatly to the overall look of the stock and never detracts from it apart from obviously providing grip. When done properly it is an art form in its own right.
The Ferlach gunmakers are quite fond of guns with no checkering but they always look unfinished to me.

As far as checkering, I agree but limit the area to the hand and do it in 28 per! IMO obviously

Your guns are amazing, do you have any Boss O/Us?

I think a firearm without checkering looks like it was made n the cheap. Unless the stock style is one where it is not normal. Even then the quality firearms still have it. Would do the usual checkering expected for this standard of firearm.

No checkering? Yeesh.

When I breeze through the 1903 Sporter listings on GB I just pass by anything with a Monte Carlo Stock or uncheckered....abnormal...

post removed, already covered

...perhaps I have posted my checkering preferences elsewhere.
16 or 18 lines per inch, flat-topped, with heavily mullered borders!

Ahmed577 sent me these two images of his Boss .303 side by side.

The first image with scope. The second image of his newly made rifle with an older side by side also in .303.

Exquisite!

Enjoy.

The only thing I see wrong with that beautiful rifle is the cheek piece is on the wrong side of the butt stock!!
