Rifle case restoration?
      #295061 - 11/02/17 01:57 AM

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but I have an old wood and canvas single rifle case that would be perfect for my Webley 1902 but it needs to have the inner lined compartments redone. Can anyone recommend someone? I can post photos later if it would help? Thank you.

John

Marvin Huey does case restoration. They have an impeccable reputation and have been at it a long time.

Wow the Marvin Huey crew certainly do a good job don't they!!!!
Absolutely stunning work & all the correct tools, oil bottles etc.
I liked the old cleaning funnel, a must have for black powder double rifle
Might be the fellows to ask if any old moulds or reloading tools come thru in the cases to get dimensions etc off so that they can get them restored (machinist) for other customers who have the same type of rifle but has been lost along the way?

93x64mm do you know of anyone in Australia to do a decent case restoration? Not in a hurry but have an old take-down magazine rifle case I would like restored.

Last double I sold had the most beautiful oak and leather case in great condition. All original except the leather on the handle snapped where it curves around the fastener.

I'm afraid I went to the price list. Excellent looking work and no doubt reflects hand making and quality materials and accessories. But unless I win lotto out of my price range. Old tattered second or tenth hand cases are more within my price range.

Plus one needs another case or covering to protect these quality gun cases when actually travelling!
