There is a REALLY nice Lee Speed .303 by Rigby on Gunbroker. It comes in a makers case. Item # is 612552979. Pricey at $2700 but VERY nice.

I have an earlier Rigby Lee Speed with full rib, bore is worn out. I've been pondering over my options as what to do with it for years.

Well used rifle, I doubt the case is original to it. It doesn't have the look of a rifle that lived in a case, or at the very least the case has been totally overhauled, but it looks later than the rifle. Bought for a song in the UK auctions like so many others and suddenly a bird of paradise when it lands in the Contiguous 48.

Yes, that and a complete misrepresentation in the description. He took information about the rare and unique .303 Rigby mauser and applied it to a lee speed. It is sad what people will do to make a buck.

As seller wrote: "The case I was told is a Huey case that costs about $3800 according to their website. Brass corners. Leather covered. Buckles and straps."

I saw that Rigby on GB. It sold before I could contact the seller and get details. There wasn't a good pic of the right side of the action or any close-ups on markings. The bolt cover said "Rigby" sure enough, but odd that there was no Rigby number on the trigger guard... If the new owner happens to read this forum, please contact me and I'll provide some details on the rifle's history.
