stealth cam

Ordinary Stealth cam fare. For mid Jan I was pleasantly surprised to capture a 'family' I also got a calf pic but haven't posted it.
Two hinds/spikey/stag pics.

I saw five early yesterday morn cobber,one was a fat velvet stag that puffed his way up the hill in his endeavour to elude me,little did he know it wasn't his day to star ha ha.
He was only in the short 'stumps' stage of growth whereas I saw one 4-5 morns ago in full polished white tip glory,amazing animals.
When the right one decides to commit suicide by being at a "hilux spot" I will have a think about the freezer but flies are an issue of course.
I will change a card in my camera today,I need the walk!

EDIT: I just had a look at my own pics,that "spikey" is actually a young velvet stag as its obvious that he has the rudiments of a fork happening...doh!
The short summer coat shows how sleek,roly poly and fat they are at this time of year,oh for a large coolroom.

If they have a bit of condition on then it's going to be another fight with the flies again!

Don't forget to throw out a teaser to the crew when you do.
Doing more work for the family again this year, youngest bloke is building soon; have to get a lot of work done first around the house - otherwise the good wife hops on her broom!
Cleaned the rifles the other day....damn things bit me - didn't know who I was!

Well I just picked up a half length of a very fresh just shed Eastern Brown skin in the hayshed,the dogs pointed it out..it means sambar season isnt here yet!

They are worse than the flies ha ha.

Well your hay shed has no or few rats then.

Checked all my bait stations yesterday and they are all empty. Haven't killed a snake for ages near the house or sheds, but maybe they are scarce again. Hopefully they are absent anyway. My guess is after saying above I will see one (hopefully only that) at close quarters very soon.

Those deer are looking fat!
