Shot with 6.5x55 140 Partition.... dime sized exit wound... instant kill.Had to use a chainsaw to get it out of the tree.Cat was 160lbs and 7" 8" tail to nose hide on.Mouth full of porcupine quills....Harold

We spent from 5am till 11am crisscrossing woodblocks looking for fresh tracks to try and figure out which one he was still in before releasing the hounds.Unusual but they had him treed within 20 minutes.I suspect he had a gut full of venison /porcupine that cuts down on the pursuit somewhat.Harold

Yes 20 mins is a quick tree for sure.Some times the sun shines,good hunt though.

Well the 6 hours of figuring out the maze of tracks should count for something? Sometimes the stars just align and it all works out ...PS the tail on a cat at the base is coke can size in diameter[think kangaroo] and must act as a balancing rudder when on the fly...heavily muscled.....Harold
