Chris finally got his Speed from NZ thru customs. Its a 303 BSA sporterized. He also picked up a Westly Richards in 375 NE from a auction. Sorting ammo for it now. Bore looks good.
His 303 shoots well, with 215gr woodleighs. Heres a few pics cheers MickL to R Rigby303, Westly Richards 375NE, BSA 303

Thank you for the photos, looks like a couple of nice rifles there, the Rigby must be unusual.

I think the WR 375Ex will only be the barrel that is taken off a sporter, by the looks at this distance ?

Could we have some more pic of it & the front sight please ?

I'm pretty sure the WR .375 2 1/2" in the photo is a Rifle made for the trade by WR for I think TJ Lake of Adelaide. TJ Lake was a crack competitive shooter in the earlyish 1900's. He was very hard to beat and won nearly everything when he was a competitive shooter. He also had a gun shop in Adelaide, hence why I believe the rifle was a trade rifle made for TJ Lake The particular serial number of that rifle matches a serial number of Westley Richards from around the early 1900's.

Hi Mick,

Thanks for sharing these, a lovely trio for sure. I especially like the Rigby trade pattern, as I am yet to find one of these.

Always great to see new rifles and when there is a group! Well that's just splendid.

Cheerio,

Roy
