Comment: Mannlicher single trigger 3/4 stock takedown mod 1905 in rare 9x56MS caliber made for Manton of Calcutta and so marked on the barrel. Has London proof marks.

In very good condition with a few handling marks on the woodwork. Functions flawlessly. Fitted with very rare Lyman 36MS 1903-1924 peep sight made especially for Mannlichers. Still shoots 1.5" at 100 yds. Comes with dies and cases.

Thanks Homer........saw that. I think the price may be a bit ambitious tho. Perhaps if it were scoped!

Hard to say from the photo but looks to me like it might once have been scoped....the knox form is a grey colour as if a band was once soldered on .....could be completely wrong tho!

Still a nice old girl tho.

Saw that too. Looks nice but the grey colour made me wonder what happened there. Good theory GG375.

By the way GG, you got your 9.5 shooting yet? I had a new front sight for mine made, sighted for like 39gr 2208 which gave 2050fps with a 270gr? Shot pretty good from the gunsmiths target.

Annnnd...I havent fired it..have like 150 .30-06 cases but havent made them into 9.5's
