Ok, here in Finland this kind of big knife will be most practical in same use as traditional lappish leuku-knife i.e. cutting wood and crushing bones. It could be usefull too when slicing deer to smaller pieces. The lenght of the blade is 230 mm (=9 inch). Handle material is red deer (or Hirsch as you say in Germany) antler. Material bought from eBay.

I like blades over 6". They make working on large ungulates like moose and elk such an easy job.

A long "sharp" blade is always handy for cutting quarters from the mass.
