Mannlicher-Schoenauer Model 1903

Does anyone know what replacement front sight can be used on a Mannlicher-Schoenauer Model 1903 factory sight ramp, I don’t know what dovetail and height the factory sight is supposed to be.

This is for the commercial full stock carbine, not the military rifle.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Hey Jorge. My M1910 was missing its front sight so i had a gunsmith make a new one out of German Silver the same as an original. Perhaps ask a gunsmith?

Also - does yours have the trap grip cap - it may have a spare sight in there

Jorge,
You could check with New England Custom Gun for a replacement fore sight.
As to height, diameter, etc. I will measure mine tomorrow and post the findings here.

Here are the dimensions from my M-S 1903 front sight:

Bead diameter: .075"
Height of sight from bottom of dovetail to top of bead: .280"
Dovetail width: .300"

Austrian gunsmith Michael Miedler now owns the Mannlicher Schonauer name, and he also builds M-S rifles. Michael can also offer all components including sights, machined in-house.
