Good series, but for the factual problems in the Rushby episode.

His wife stayed in Mbeya, not out in the bush. He used a double 9.3x74 (IIRC) then went home to England in '46 for six months, before the end of the lions, He sold the rifle for spending money and bought a 404J on his return.

I would not have liked to be chasing maneaters in that nyika between Makambako and Rujewa or further west.

The Corbett episode was good too, with some spectacular scenery.
