Yes you are right but the 300wsm is practical from a point of view that I can easily get factory ammo, brass etc plus I have it in a 6lb light weight Tikka stainless synthetic which I plan to use in New Zealand on a Chamois/Tahr hunt.

Also, those short little fat cartridges are normally as accurate as hell - ask any bench rest shooter!
