I have just joined the forum on a recommendation by another long term member and he and I are hoping that we can pick your brains about this rifle: (PS if I am in the wrong forum)

Here are some pics to get this started:

A very elegant old stutzen. Nice rifle. Ferlach is one of the foremost towns in Austria for fine gunsmithing work. So, pretty much anything coming out of there will be well crafted.
Thanks for sharing. Cheers, d

G'day Nicholas:
A similar M-95 sporter is discussed in this earlier thread:

Some of that discussion might be relevant to your fine example.
Love the "flared" schnabel BTW.

Model 95 stripper clip for 7x57R

This model 95 has been re-barreled to 7x57R.

The 7x57R round is loose in the original charger or stripper clip.

does anyone know if a different charger was used, the M95 charger was modified, or one simply put up with the looseness?

thanks

Don

that there was a special made 7x57R en-bloc clip is close to impossible. what looks cheap and simple needs a lot of expensive special machines and tools.
they simply life with the loose fit and maybe the original clip was bend a little bit, when loaded into the magazine all was fine.
