Nice Pick Up Bidgee, well worth the cost of restoration.

Hi David,

A really nice solid example this one, well done indeed. If you intend to shoot it, let us know how the old girl runs. The example of mine that I shot was superb, so no complaints at all (have yet to shoot my late example).

If possible David and when you get a chance David drop me a line with the serial number, as it would be interesting to see where it lies with my two examples?

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Cheerio,

Roy.

Here are the sights on the rifle starting with the fore site with its neat folding hood.

Hi,

Very nice indeed.

That's the 'Cole's Holdfast Foresight Protector', a great detail to have. Here is a pic of mine on my No4 similar to yours.

Cheers, Roy.

I belive what you have there is the BSA Officers Carbine .I have one identical to yours in 303 .Mine has a shorter magazine , Im certain the magazine on mine is not the correct one for the rifle though.
Mine has the folding Coles front sight hood and the cape sight at the rear ,checkered military style but stock and forward swept bolt handle .
