Mauser M03 deluxe waterbuffalo

Recently purchased another M03 to compliment the Africa PH which is the synthetic. According to the importer it is the only one of its kind in Australia. It has a waterbuffalo engraved on the magazine rather that a Cape buffalo. The timber is grade 5.

Nice, is it in .404 as well? I like the PH you have in .404, I was thinking of picking one up then found a Type A in .404. Let us know how she shoots!

That's a very nice stock and nicely figured. The stock design does not look like a standard Mauser M03 design to me, at least from the web site photos of the different models. Perhaps a custom designed stock from Mauser for the original orderer?

The engraving looks pretty good too and nicely done.

A good find and addition. Well done.

If I ever get a custom made stock made up would probably go for similar design. As it is similar to the Mauser synthetic stock I have and would probably match it in some ways. I might go for a slightly slimmer fore-end. Don't know till I do it.

I bought it with a 375 H&H barrel but in the pics I have the 404 jeffery barrel installed. Shoots just as good as the Africa ph stock and I also tried it out with a 30-06 barrel which put 5 shots in less than an inch at 100m so pretty happy with that. I now have 6 M03 barrels and the two stocks/actions, 22-250 jagmatch 30-06 solid, 300wm solid, 9.3 by 62 fluted stalker, 375 h&h std, and 404 jeffery Africa ph . I think that will cover all bases.
