Trying my hand at making some review videos. This is of my 1922 Oberndorf that I use for hunting. It had been modified prior to my ownership by adding scope mounting holes and fordging the bolt handle for scope mounting and safety modification. Bore is not perfect but will keep 3 shots at 100 yards in about 1".

Thanks for the video. However I doubt the recoil pad is original

Neither are the Williams ramp front sight and the flip up rear sight.
Here is my Typ M Mauser, also in .30-'06, with a Griffin & Howe side mount and Lyman 48 receiver sight, plus an altered bolt handle, all evidently done by G&H, judging from the workmanship.

The pad looks like a Jostam Anti Flinch but could have been a period mod as they were available even way back in the '20s. My bet is that it was added later when the scope was mounted. He states that the sights are not original but, of course, if you can't hear him on your computer you didn't catch that. Still, great to see a classic out hunting and performing as well (or better) than most modern rifles. Dang near a century old and surely well capable of going another easily.

You're right, ever since I "upgraded" my computer to Windows 10 I have been unable to access the sound accompaniment to video clips. I haven't had a chance to try out my recently acquired Typ M, but I trust it will perform on a par with my other Mausers.
