Went on a bit of a hunt with my wife and another couple a few months back...Was an incredible trip and as a couple's trip was one of the best hunts of my life...great scenery, food, wine and the people were very nice..certainly plan to go back...

This was the first morning hunting Gredos Ibex..

We spotting a group of Ibex..made a play on them..there was a good male along with a very old female..16 yrs old they wanted gone..so I shot the male..handed the Blaser in 300 Win to my wife who immediately made a trotting away shot on the female at 124 yards..it was a great start to the hunt...

While driving out later in the evening this guy come running out of the draw..I hopped out and gave him a love pat up the rear..that was that...

Two days later we were hunting Beceite Ibex ...this is some of the country and end result...

We then traveled to the north to hunt Chamois..

Over 1000 year old Olive tree

Finally we headed to an estate...were there were various species you could hunt on a 50,000 hectare area...had been hunted quite a bit by then and game was incredibly spooky..

Eventually on the 3rd day I caught up to this guy...

and then did some red legged partridge hunting with a lab..

Our crew at the estate enjoying a beverage after lunch..

Photos of the lodging at the estate..

Great story Ripp, beautiful scenery and superb trophies. The lodge looks fantastic and I am sure the food was great, those Spaniards sure know how to cook.
