Lee Speed Goes to the Woods
      #277676 - 08/02/16 09:40 AM

Went for a "walk-about" in the woods today and my late model Lee went along. It is has a light profile barrel and is like carrying a walking cane rather than a rifle. Hunted pigs in the heavy Palmettos but only saw four deer instead. Where they grow in standing water, the Palmettos get over 10 feet high. Hard to walk through them without making noise.

Shame no pigs.

Very nice rifle though. Some good figure in the butt stock and knife handle.

Wonderful John,

Lovely to see one of these in their natural environment - great photo.

Looks rather like the twin to one of my rifles..!

Cheers, Roy.

Good stuff, there is nothing better than a stroll in the bush with a nice rifle.

Better luck with the piggys next time.

Be careful, those rifles tend to grow on you.

Nice rifle. Nothing like time in the field with a classic rifle.

Okay Chaps,

Inspired by John's beauty above, I took the attached photo of my own late pattern out in the snow and rocks.

Okay I have to confess it was in the front garden outside my office window..:) But hey I thought it would make a nice photo anyway.

Perhaps John has started something here...?

Cheers, Roy.

Guys,
Great photos. I love to see photos of Lee Sporters anyway and seeing them out doing what they were made for just makes them better.
How about some more!

Thanks.
John
