Ross M10, anyone ever scope one?

I have a M10 Ross in .280 Ross caliber which has been languishing in my gun case for a number of years unshot, for lack of proper sighting equipment. Has anyone had any experience fitting a scope to one? I once saw a photo of one fitted with Leupold bases, but I don't have a clue as to which ones to use and Leupold has been no help.

The one I supposed to have been buying before the dealer let someone else have as they offered more despite the fact that he had my desposit on the rifle.. That had Redfield Jnr bases fitted on it. Seem these bases are about the right "vintage" too.
