Is the .303 velox the same as 7.65x53 ARG?

This rifle is chambered in the rare 303 Fraser Rimless (a propriatary Fraser round), not the same as 7.65x53 Argentine.

Technically speaking, could it be modified to accept 7.65ARG which I assume it wider ar the shoulder?

Do you know anyone who loads the 303 velox?

I'm interested but just need to figure out the logistics of this rifle.

Gundog: 3DogMike's response to your post reflects my concerns. I have been following your posts on this Forum, and it seems to me that you are all over the map as to what you really want to purchase. Based on your interest in rechambering the Fraser, I don't think this is the rifle for you. There are less than a handfull of untouched, unmodified Fraser 303 Rimless Velox rifles left on the planet and to consider any modification would be sacrilege.

I share your concern and would actually never rechamber it, I was just posting "out loud" persay as I was just curious about the similarities of,the cartridge to others. Purely out of curiosity., no rechambering motive behind it.

As to my posting of what I want to buy, I have the means and wants to purchase golden era rifles so why not ask around and that comment is related to this how....?

It's nice that you can afford to purchase whatever strikes your fancy. You are right of course, it is not my place to question your motivations. My apologies.

Hi Gundog01, if you need assistance with loads for the 303 Velox I can help.

I have almost the identical rifle chamber for the 303 Velox, the load I shoot is very accurate and works very well on game.
