Well, he didn't know who in particlular on the forum made the comment, I didn't remember who made it and wouldn't have told him anyway. But he finds it fair that people ask.

When Jim and I worked the shows together when we worked at KDF we often ran on to people who had an unfavorable impression of the product only because they didn't ask. That was unfair. When they asked and were given an answer and still had an unfavorable impression that was different, that then was their opinion only, often biased.

I had a pointed lessen in that when I worked at KDF. I was never all that impressed by the .308 Norma Mag. Why bother just get a 300 Win. Mag. When I left KDF I was given a K-15 in .308 Norma Mag. That was no brainer. The .308 Norma Mag K-15 was a slow seller and high in inventory. Lots of them in stock.

Forced to own the gun I shot it. It is now one of my favorite and most accurate hunting rifles. I was biased with no experience other than on the bench at KDF.

Jim did share the secret of the grit epoxy stock finish and it solves a problem for me in what to use on the laminated stocks I am putting a pair of 416 Reminton Magnums I am building.

Although I personally do not like the grit finish on Jims stock, I do like the stock itself and I buy the simi finished and inlet it in about 45 minutes, then glass bed it...I like the laminate stock as his pattern is my H&H drop box pattern..The laminate is preferable to me to a composite stock, which I hate..Plastic and SS are not my cup of tea....I checker the laminate at 20 LPI while soaded in hot stuff glue from Brownells..and finish it with Custom Oil from Brownells...It makes a real nice working rifle...

I might add that Jim has a rebuilt rear talley base that has a neat pop up peep for the fellow that wanted a receiver sight for a CZ...It worked fine on my CZ 404 Jefferys that Jim and I built...I like that pop up peep with the Talley QD scope bases, make a neat DGR set up.
