Does anyone know where I can find a quality leather cartridge holder with loops. I need it to fit a wide belt. Also, I need it to fit .375 and .405. I have looked through Cabela's website and do not like the Triple K brand. I don't care for the box type of holder and the other seems too narrow for the cartridges. Thanks.

Have a look at these:
http://www.heritagearms.net/africase.html
I have just recently recived 2 of them in 375H&H and I can honostly say that they are the best made I have ever had my hands on. They're all cartridge specific (375H&H for 375H&H only), and I got the impression that anything that they didn't have in stock would be quickly hand made for your needs. I'm very happy that I went for them, and the guy who runs the shop; Aleko, has been extremly helpfull with shipping them over to me quickly. They cost $50 a piece but are worth it IMO.

...you may want to try the galco cartridge wallets...they come in either 5 round (turnbolts) or 6 round (doubles) configurations and can accommodate calibres ranging from a 9.3/.375 to the largest nitros...i usually wear two (left and right of buckle) with a 2" wide westley richards belt whilst hunting...

Erik's look very good.
I have some from Galco and Westley Richards. The Galco ones were better made. Are they still availble, I couldn't see them on the website last time I looked.

...agree, the galco wallets are much better than the westley richards' wallets, tho i would give the nod to westleys in the case of open cartridge loops (if only for the fact that galco does not offer them)...
...just checked the galco site...still there...
...you can also usually source galco products through mail - internet outfitting retailers such as cabelas, orvis (i believe), kevin's, stafford's, etc...

I used the Africase holders like Erik. They use thicker leather and have stronger stitching then my Murray Leather holders or my Westley Richards holder.

I've been using the ones made by Murray Custom Leather down in Texas. Their quality is excellent, have different sizes-5, 10, 15, and 20 round, and offer the option of industrial elastic loops, or leather. I prefer the elastic, as the leather loops tend to tarnish the brass, unless your brass is nickle plated.

Thanks guys. I was actually at Cabela's today and bought a very nice belt with the magnum cartridge loops sewn right onto it. It is by Triple K and I think it will suit me quite well. Thanks for all the recommendations.

For those of you who mentioned Westley Richards ammunition carriers, where do you find those?

Boyt Harness has a couple, some with flaps. I have the open model and it is snug enough that .458s stay put. They make it in different calibers and if memory serves, even in short mags.

Dick Murray's Leather holders have a large Belt loop which is ideal for Ex Brit army canvas belts.
