Way too much money. I buy quite a few of these for 1/4 of that.

I recently traded even for one with a pre-64 Model 70 .30-'06 Featherweight I paid $1400 for, and that included the Lyman 36 sight.

I have bought 6 in the last 2 years from an auction company. One was an H&H that I paid $500 for. The last one was in .375 flanged NE 2 1/4". I paid $450 for it. Different models but I've bought all from 1910's back.

I know ! I know ! he keeps beating me out, I do have a couple of 93-95 models now, not the one, but close, need a 1903 & 1910 now !

I need to locate your auction company. So far, I have never snagged one for less than $1200.00.

This Mannlicher is converted m1908 and IMO price is so low because not so many buyers want to have such a nice old Mannlicher Schönauer converted to .308. Some years ago I bought m1908 Mannlicher from Germany. It costs me less than 500€ and it was in good original condition.

It's a .243. And I agree with you on the conversion. But I still get original ones cheap. It just takes lots of looking and patience.
