I agree, just had a look at one at the DSC show, pretty darned nice, I especially like how nicely it takes down and fits in a very trim 32" case. Unfortunately out of my price range but I did buy their fairly recent 101 model, which is also rather nice. I'm a JP Sauer nut so I had to have one.

I can't agree with the comment that the 404 is even smoother than the 202 as I have handled both and find that the 404 will jam slightly if you do not have the bolt directly in line with the action and you are cycling fast. The 202 never did this and it is interesting to note that in "Wild Boar Fever 7" Franz Albrecht has trouble cycling the 404 several times whereas he never had this problem with the 202.

looks a nice outfit. I have not owned or used a Sauer but how on earth can you depress the magazine release catch on the 202 by accident?

I like the take down, trigger pressure and bolt head release very much. I just hope they sort out the bolt lam/binding problem that has been mentioned.
