Beautiful rifle

--------------------
I have a 30-06 and a 45-70 side by side rifle by Baikal. I also modified a 12 gauge side by side into a slug gun. My problem has always been champagne and caviar tastes on a generic diet coke and fritos budget.

My hunting gun "wish list" if I ever win the lottery (which I won't since I don't play it) would be a Rigby Mauser in 416 (it needs a more classic forend though) and a rising bite in 500NE. I suppose with the leftover cash I would get a Mauser in something like 6.5x55 or 7x57.

Here is their website.:

When I win the lottery guess what I'm buying.

I think that the earlier problems with the name/owners and some poor workmanship by all accounts tarnished the name somewhat but now the new owners have the desire and trades people to once again bring the ' Rigby' name back to the place it earlier held, at the top of gun makers trade.

Lovely rifle, but if I had an extra US$13.5k laying around that the wife didn't know about, I'd use it to go on an African buffalo hunt. :-)

I'll stack up my Dennis Erhardt .416 Rigby on an original Oberndorf single square bridge action against any bolt rifle Rigby ever made, and I have owned several.

Ahh but it is not a Rigby.
