After market Ruger No1 safety

Is there a after market replacement safety available that will stop cases getting caught up in the factory one? Thanks

I don't think so. Haven't found one yet but I'm looking. Maybe a custom job or out with a angle grinder. Someone on here has had it recessed by a gunsmith. Having it recessed has also been done in the states.

Is this a drop in replacement or does he need the rifle for fitting? That does look very nice.

I bought a Ruger #1 in anticipation of the 500 and 577 NE barrels. Too bad the seller turned out to be a scammer.I'll still keep going but it'll take a bit longer now.

Would you care to elaborate? The rest of us might benefit from your experience.

In the classified ads here, a seller named "Richhere" was selling alot of stuff. But others and myself were burned.

This is his website http://www.alexbeer.com/ ,I have spoken to him and he would like the rifle for fitting but he will exchange a safety for one of his, these safety's are hand made filed.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks Steve! I'll contact him. But shipping to rifle down there w/o me attached isn't an option! If it goes I go too!

Is Alex Beer still in business? I'm living in Texas, here in the States, but I would love to get one of these safeties for my new 450/400 NE Ruger No. 1!

Sorry No, he stopped work about 12 months ago. He was a REAL gunsmith.

There is a commercial drop in safety made by (I think) Tropfest. I have one on mine, works well. I no longer have the details but you should be able to find them on google

Alex
