I've wanted a minty Sako Safari for at least 20 years, I bid and lost, missed them by a day and just plain had bad luck acquiring one.

Well I feel like and 8 year on Christmas morning because I finally won one (I hope minty).

My question is, " does any one make QR rings for a 30mm scope? I have an older Schmidt and Bender 1.25-4x24 that would be perfect and match the rifles vintage.

Many years ago (around 1979) I read John Taylor and I wanted a 375 H&H. According to just about everyone who should know the 375 H&H has been kicking ass since 1912. After looking at Gun Digest l wound up lusting for a Sako Safari. I was in college at the time and of course, I could not afford one. The Sako Safari is a really great rifle you are very lucky to have one. BTW I finally was able to buy a 375 H&H many years later.

Try Recknagel they make beautiful mounts that fit into the period we all love. From memory, 'Newengland ??'are the U.S. Recknagel agents. I have just had them fitted to my new Sauer 202.

Cheers and good luck.

Sako would have their own OptiLock QD Rings for it. You can also try Conetrol and see if they have QD Rings for Sako.

I have a Sako AV in 416 Rem. They are very smooth actions, and mine is very accurate. The wood and the sight rib on yours are very nice!
