I don't think it started life as a .375.
My guess is it originally was a 360 2.25" or maybe even a smaller chambering and was rebored/rechambered.
Those breeches look pretty thin for a 375 and the proportions of the action and trigger arrangement look like it could even have been a 300 Rook.

The Rawbone Cape Rifle at £900 plus 30 per cent was a good buy for someone

If I had not got a similar but less good one I would have given it a punt

this is not the 50-110 Win Express but the honourable 12,7x60R 500 BPE
like the name is telling you made by cuting the 500 BPE case to 60 mm. there was a 65 mm long version too in germany and austria, done because the 76mm /3 " case was to powerfull for common european game.









late turned NDFS 50-110 brass, two original 12,7x60R cartridges by RWS and Roth, 500 BPE coiled case

I had to made once ammo for a belgian SXS combination gun in 12ga and "12,7x60R". after making a chamber cast I found it was the american 50-110 Winchester, no doubt about it. this was the time when only the late turned NDFS brass was available.

Round, rifled, blued barrels with rib, fore -and rear-sight, decorated with a golden ring at the back, cal. 10.5 x 73; tang finely engraved with floral motifs, with folding peep sight, engraved and blued; backward spring lock signed "MILLER & VOL. GREISS MUNCHEN" around the hammers (restored), featuring fine engravings depicting deers on a side and hounds fighting with a wild boar on the other; receiver with fawns and a deer protecting from a hound; butt and fore-end of fine briarwood, checkered neck and fore-end; horn lever and tail of the trigger guard; trigger guard engraved with the Bavarian crown surmounting the specular monogram of Prince R. Luitpold, engraved iron butt-plate; under the butt a shield with number "2".Luitpold Karl Joseph Wilhelm von Bayern (* 12 March 1821 Würzburg; � 12 December 1912 Munich).
