I keep looking for how it has been photoshopped. But the shadows look right.

internet...super motha monster INDIAN tusks???the questions come fast to mind...nonetheless it is fantastic!

Not hard to add some African ivory onto another of course.

I hope it is indeed real and he lives for another 50 years!

The tusk look too fabulous for an Indian elephant but one never knows. Lots of smart cookies around with photoshop programs and way to much time on their hands.

A quick internet search (I used Wikipedia so no guarantee of accuracy) revealed the largest Asian elephant and in the photo its tusk were nowhere as large as the ones in the above photo.

Raja Gaj in the 1990s
Raja Gaj (king elephant), was a large Asian elephant that lived in the Bardiya National Park in Nepal. It was considered to be the biggest Asian bull elephant of modern times who was estimated to be 11 feet 3 inches (nearly 3.5 metres) tall at the shoulder, some two feet taller than the average Asian elephant. [1] It went missing from its habitat in southwestern Nepal, in December 2007 and was never seen again.[2] It was estimated to be 70 years old at the time of his disappearance.

Raja Gaj was the subject of scientific speculation due to his sheer size and peculiarly domed head which led some to wonder if he might be a genetic throwback to extinct species such as the mammoths and mastodons.[3] But a DNA test later confirmed he was a "regular" Asian elephant. The giant bull was the Bardiya National Park's main attraction, though it does feature several other species of wild animals.[3]

He sure looks magnificent all right & has the right body shape & aged look about him to possess tusks like that.

Indian/Asian Elephants had tusk weights up to 160lbs in at least one case & a lot from 90lb to 100lb, so not impossible, those look in the 68lb to 78lb range, depends on his body size a fair bit, I have seen a deco or 2 that had some massive looking Bulls in them .

A bull like that would have been some thing to hunt in the jungles a couple of hundred years ago, the Bull Asian Elephant just looks so much stauncher than the African to me.

Saw this old post had been visited. The tusks may cross near the tips too.
