Clayton Nelson miniature Farquharson in .280 Remington. This rifle has 3 leaf express sights on quarter rib and will also accept quick detachable Talley Rings. Exceptional wood and case colors. Over all beautiful custom rifle, very petite and excellently executed

Very nice rifle.

Does Clayton Nelson manufacture the actions or was the rifle made on an original old Farky?

Good hunting!

I don't know. You might give the seller a call. I see the auction has ended, but the seller is listed as Zebra Arms on GunBroker.

As the ad said, it is not a full size, original. It is a "miniature Farquharson in .280 Remington." These reproductions, using modern steel and built to a very high order, came out of the UK in the late 80s-early 90s. I saw an ad recently for these actions in parts to be built. I don't know if Clayton Nelson (primarily a stock maker) assembled the action himself on this gun or simply did the would, case coloring, etc. Otherwise, seems like a real beauty in a very usable caliber, unlike most of the originals which can be shot only from time to time due to ammo costs and recoil issues -- unless you are planning in the ultimate in rodent control. (Aim between the eyes, I hear those groundhogs charge if wounded.) Dave
