Husky Model 46 how to size .375 bt down to 9.3mm
      #258513 - 03/01/15 12:15 PM

First time posting long time viewer. After reading several post about the Husky 46. I decided to buy one. I did and it is a great shooter. I've only shoot Speer 270 gr bullets. I would like to try the Hornaday .375 dia 225 gr sized down for the 9.3 bore. My question is... What die/tool are you using to size the bullet down to fit the 9.3 bore? Can you explain the steps in doing so. Thank you in advance

Jason,
I believe the dies are from Lee Precision.
I'm sure Daryl_S or 9.3x57 will chime in soon to add much information to your question.
Please post a photo of your new rifle.
I picked another Husky M46 last month myself. Will post photos soon myself.

That thread tells a lot of the story.

Nowadays, primarily due to 9.3x57's (Rod's) pressure, Lee manufacturing will make you dies to fit your ctg. reloading press (7/8x14 thread) so you can size down bullets to fit the rifle you desire.

For us, it was .375's down to .366" for Rod and .367" for me. I made my own die which worked, while Rod used a 3-die set from Lee. I was just lucky, I guess, with the old Pacific die's dimensions.

With the design of the Lee dies, 3 dies will be necessary for a reduction from .375" down to .366".
A local fellow, friend of mine, has purchased Lee 3 die sets to reduce .338's down to .300" for his 8x56R and .323's down to .312" for his .303.

It really is amazing what you can accomplish given a few random ideas and a modicum of some-what rough skill.(OK- very rough)
