Cape Buffalo 2x1?

I'm new to this site and was wondering about hunting Cape Buffalo. I looked at some websites and they had rates about 1x1 and 2x1. I was wondering if it was listed at $8000 would both hunters pay $8000 or both pay $4000.

Most companies 2x1 prices are per hunter and I don't know of anywhere in Africa where you could buy a Buff hunt for US$4K per hunter.

Even at US$8000 per hunter I would guess the hunt is in Zimbabwe or Mozambique. Most other African countries you would be paying considerably more.

There are Selous, Tanzania 2x1 hunts that start at about $8,750.00/hunter. That is just the starting point, however. You add the charter flight at $800.00 to $1,400.00 each, plus dipping and shipping and the price goes up in a hurry. Still, this is the only way many of us will ever be able to afford to hunt cape buffalo...it sure beats staying at home dreaming about it. Even these hunts will cost you around $12,000.00 when everything is added up, including the ticket over and back.

I was assuming an "all up" price and didn't make that clear. Apologies for any confusion.

We always quote the bottom line price but as Luv2safari has pointed out many companies do not.
