Knives from Spain
      #258117 - 20/12/14 12:57 PM

Some time ago, a request was made by a member here by the name of Jose M Ledesma of Spain for American Wildcat cartridge cases for his collection. I posted this request along with a picture of his large bore collection, under glass.
A while later, I sent Mr. Ledesma a couple packages of empty wildcat brass, froma few smaller ones in .17 or .22 cal. cal. but most from .375 cal. up to .458 on a number of different parent cases.

Mr Ledesma graciously offered to buy the brass, but I said no.

He has sent me 2 knives I wish to share the pictures of with you. Both are Spanish - I assume. The one on the display case, is a modern replica of a lock-blade carried by someone of import- perhaps nefariously famous, in the late 1700's. The one I just received from Jose, is the fishing knife. Both knives took wonderful edges.

My heartfelt thanks to Jose for his thoughtfulness and generosity. Merry Christmas Sir, and I do hope you have a prosperous New Year.
