Weight's only 5lb..What a sweet little rifle she is.

A .360 (2 1/4IN.) BLACK POWDER EXPRESS SECOND QUALITY 1865 PATENT FALLING-BLOCK ROOK RIFLE, serial no. 6201,
26 1/4in. round black powder only barrel engraved 'ALEXR. HENRY & CO. 18, FREDERICK ST. EDINBURGH', block-mounted open sights with two folding leaf sights, white metal sight lines and marked for 50,150 and 200 yds, block-mounted bead fore-sight, action numbered 2311, right hand bolted back-action lock, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 14 3/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with pistolgrip-cap and steel buttplate, missing rear sling eye, weight 5lb.

Pretty low estimate on it, sir. Perhaps it should be your first purchase of the new year? Would go well with the rest of your Henry's and the .360 2 1/4" is a doll

I was at Holt's and blew it completely, did not check time it was due and was handling it in the viewing hall when I saw it up on the screen

By the time I had run up to the auction room via stairs and corridors it had sold - for £1700 + commission

Somebody was lucky, I was going to put £1000 on top of that, lovely little rifle

Ah TH44 Bugger!

Did you catch what the Certus .22lr and the Certus .400 went for?
Or the Parker Hale .404 Jeffery or Lee Speeds?
