Can you guys tell me anything about this? I haven't found any information about it online. Is is made by Connecticut Vally Shotguns or somebody else?

See a used one for sale here .

This was an effort to offer a low price point double rifle.
The adjustable feature and the shotgun chambering were apparantly pitches to hunters in shotgun-only hunt states. They were built to run sabot ammunition.

Seems good for the intended market, but didn't sell well enough for the maker to keep it up.

BTW -- not Connecticut Valley (CVA) as in the black powder replica rifle makers, but Tony Galazan's CSMC or Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company.

I agree, was a good idea, but with plastic stocked American rifled shotguns available for $350.00, a classy, seemingly expensive double rifle was overpriced for the that market.

Too bad, I wouldn't mind one in 12 bore with an 80" to 100" twist and 2 3/4" or 3" chambers. I was able to load 7 drams in 2 3/4" plastic cases and still get a folded crimp on a round ball.

Sorry, typo on my part for including "Valley", I knew they were not the same company.

So, does that mean these are dead before I ever heard of them?

Seems like a fun idea, but you're probably right about the price point.

No current production that I know of - not since the initial run.
The one linked above appears to be offered at original price including upgraded wood and scope with QD mounts.

They come up from time to time at similar price.

I have 3 friends with these. One took the time to carefully regulate it for the lightfield slugs and he is very happy with it. The other two are disappointed with accuracy & regulation even after sending them back to Tony a couple of times to be regulated.

I think it is a case of trying to purchase a prize wining bird dog and expecting it to perform flawlessly with no owner training.

I believe regulation issues, the abundance of different commercial 20 ga slugs, and lack of operator training made these a failed endeavor for Ct Shotgun.

Nope, not a training issue! I owned one that would not regulate, sent it back twice with no luck. Finally was told they wouldn't go any farther with that rifle. Sold it in disgust. Will not deal with that company for any reason! Do NOT believe that they warranty all their products. I will add that I own a bore rifle, a Colindian, and a paradox, and have been able to get all 3 to work very well.

I think the RBL line was designed to keep his people working in 2008-9-10 when the wheels fell off Wall Street. Up to that point Galzan could sell all the Winchetser Model 21, Itheca, and Fox reproduction they wanted to. Lots of hedge fund duche bags in CT and NY.

It came out at a lower price point and the attitude at the shop was always pretty stuck up and borderline rude about the RBLs.

I bought a 30" 12g and had stock problems. They promised me custom measurements and did not deliver. Very disappointing overall.

I did buy a 28" 20g from a friend for a song and it's been fine.

PS I'm and X hedge fund Dbag.
