Where did that ridiculous price get dreamed up from?
I would have thought $15,000.

While I find the Fuchs double bolt action a fascinating piece of engineering, it has always struck me as the answer to a non existent question.

I'll agree with CowboyCS, the engineering is amazing, but what does it do that either style of rifle it mimics not do? I can see maybe a rapid reload of both barrels but practice will help that. It's pretty neat, but I bet they haven't sold too many!

Very interesting rifle in the wrong cartridge.
I wonder what it would weigh?
You could buy a very nice double rifle for that sort of money.

Checking sale details it weighs 12lbs 13oz!
Wow. My double 500 only weighs 10lbs 10oz, and that is plenty for me.
It did not state if weight was with or without scope.

The price is hardly over ambitious, brand new the are six-figures. They are built by hand and quality is on par with any of the bespoke english makers. Though it is an example of something made simply because somebody felt like having something different. But they make them in larger calibers like .416 rem and that would make a really good dangerous game rifle, it'd be the fastest way to put lead down range in a hurry.

NitroX, I think you are nearer the mark, it will remain unsold at that priceof 50k unless they find an idiot. I guess it might make a TOP of 20k GBP, 15k more realistic, best

I personally don't think these rifles have a great holding value, ie buy it new and sell it for a higher or equivalent price. I think they will loose value off the new price.
Especially if they are so heavy.
