I am just missing the leather covered recoil plate, but that maybe because I am mostly shooting driven games.

I wish they'd soften the radius on the end of the fore end. I know the look they're going for there, I just think they're missing it a little. Which is not to say it's not a stunning rifle...

Beautiful rifle. However that forend ruins it for me.

Cheers, Chris

Nice wood but yes the corners need some softening. Especially around the trigger guard and action. Sharp corners are going to get dented and damaged very fast and from what I have seen of the originals they were more rounded.

Oh and another thing! ;-) I wish the action came with a more rounded floor plate, but that's Mauser's thing, not really Rigby's. If they want an extra cartridge in the magazine that's fine, but do a proper drop magazine.

Ok, I'm done now.

It must be remembered a "London Best" is a custom rifle, per the customer's specifications. The forend for example is probably per client's specifications. Some of the comments sound like they think it is a "from the rack" rifle.
